ABOUT US

Formerly known as the Data Catalog Collaboration Project (DCCP), the Data Discovery Collaboration (DDC) was created to facilitate the discovery of research data that are hard to find. This collaboration brings a cross-institutional perspective to addressing usability, data sharing workflows, metadata, and outreach for improving data discovery efforts.

As the DDC, we leverage our unique experiences around data discovery and sharing to improve local discovery systems. We target research communities with a high level of interest in data sharing, and our experience with those communities helps us identify strategies to reduce data sharing barriers.

Our Mission

To enhance discovery of data and other research products in order to maximize their value.

Structure

The DDC is structured with a Steering Committee and four Core Groups: Metadata Development and Cataloging, Software Development, Advocacy and Communications.
